This is not Shimura-sensei's strongest work, but it does handle sensitively stories about the edges of the human sexual experience you often don't find elsewhere. Shimura-sensei is not afraid to go find the secret places most people are afraid to speak openly about, and she often finds ways to endear you to the characters even when the are creepy or pervy. A handful of short stories about a variety of sexual experiences, be it longing or crossing lines.

Ashinano sensei brings another beautiful work full of a strange combination of future nostalgia. His stories in Kotonoba Drive are mysterious glimpses of how other worlds/experiences slip into our daily lives. The story introduces Su-chan, who occasionally is visited by short lives para-normal experiences. Quiet and reflective, not scary. The stories are short, since Ashinano-sensei does not use assistants to produce his work, but mange to beautifully pack in these gorgeous experiences in a short chapter. The art is beautiful as usual. However, I find the world, story and characters of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou to be better realized as whole. Hovever, this work stands on its own, and ladles on more mystery than his previous works. Hoping for a new series from Ashinano sensei!

Ashinano-sensei creates a gentle future world where human influences are slowly fading, but where life moves on in it's own strange way. Alpha, the robot female protagonist, is the lens through which we watch the idiosyncratic (and everyday) wonders and mysteries that happen along the way. This series is sweet, slow paced, and filled with delightful artistic longing for things like sunsets and spaceships. One of my favorite manga.

Shimura-sensei delivers another well written saga of adult yuri, filled with interesting characters, lots of sexual longing and mostly fresh situations. Her characters are relatable and are refreshingly free from many stereotypical tropes.
